Here is the abstract :

Start an instance on an internal cloud, then with the same code start another on EC2 or Rackspace. Deltacloud protects your apps from cloud API changes and incompatibilities, so you can concentrate on managing cloud instances the way you want. Deltacloud API prosper from natural open-source evolution and use community driven API design instead of vendor enforced one.

Well, it seems for me this year is a FOSDEM  millesime.

Apparently, there is an interesting talk about Aeolus.

Francesco Vollero will be presenting in Virtualization and Cloud Devroom on  Saturday 2012-02-04

14:00-14:25 the Aeolus Project (room : Chavane)

Here is the abstract :

Aeolus Project is a Red Hat sponsored project released under Apache License. It’s purpose is to help people to have their own solution to manage and create cloud system hybrid and then run their instances on their own in-house infrastructure (VMware vSphere, RHEV, IBM’s Smart Business Cloud, Eucalyptus) and also copy/run/manage their instances in multiple public cloud places (Amazon EC2, Rackspace, GOGrid,etc)

Aeolus does all of the image conversion/transfer/etc automatically, handling everything properly. Aeolus is a single, consistent set of tools to build and manage organized groups of virtual machines across clouds.

I am going to do “Open the Code to Students” presentation @ Louvain-li-Nux, Louvain-la-Neuve, the 20th of October 2011.
That one will take place at Auditoire SCES 03, Place des Sciences, 2 – Louvain-la-Neuve.

During this presentation, I will address the major open source projects adopted in business, but also projects that could be used by students daily.
Finally, I will explain the interest that everyone have to contribute.

Fedora Belgium website is up !

Finally, it is up !



Fedora Belgium is a group of people who share a common interest in the Fedora distribution.



They are organized and supported by the community and meet on a regular basis to discuss new technologies, development methodologies, interesting use cases, and other technical topics. The common goal is to provide education, help, and social events for the community and to promote open source.



If you would like to meet face-to-face with other members of the community then you can attend one of the Fedora Belgium meetings. Similarly if you have something that you would like to talk about then feel free to contact us and ask to give a small presentation at the next meeting.



BTW, it uses Drupal. Quite normal for a Belgian community !
