Dear *,

The next event is scheduled for the 10th of November and … Pete Muir is presenting!

For those who don’t know Pete, this is his bio:
I lead the Seam, Weld and CDI TCK projects, am an adviser to the RichFaces project, and a founder of the Arquillian project. I’ve worked on a number of specifications including JSF 2.0, AtInject and CDI. I am a regular speaker at JUGs and conferences such as Devoxx (Javapolis), JAX, JavaBlend, JSFDays and JBoss World.
I am currently employed by Red Hat Inc. working on JBoss open source projects. Before working for Red Hat, I used and contributed to Seam whilst working at a UK based staffing agency as IT Development Manager.

Schedule for the event is:
18:00 – 19:00: Seam 3 in the cloud
19:00 – 20:00: Arquillian

RealDolmen will be the host and they’ll provide food and beverages at the office in Kontich.

He will also give a bird’s eye overview of the new projects that will be bundled in AS 6, such as Weld, HornetQ, RestEasy and several more.

There will be also a short demo at the end showing some of the new features in AS.

See you there.

Dear *,

An unbelievable surprise!
As it was the first time JBos.org was present at FOSDEM, we did not expect to a such success.
The result was beyond our most optimistic expectations.
See by your self on the following pictures :

First and Second talk – Falko Menge and Heiko w. Rupp –

Third and fourth talk – Mark Proctor, Sabri – From the point the room was always FULL – ( THE BET WAS WON ! Congratulation jbug ! – Belgian Jboss User Group – )

Unfortunately I had not the possibility to attend for the other talks (JBoss ESB, Yoeri Roels). 😦

Thanks to jbug.be for helping me to make this happens – Joris, Jarom, etc..).
Thanks also to all speakers – Falko Menge, Heiko w. Rupp, Mark Proctor, Sabri Skhiri, Yoeri Roels

Rem: 30/40 attendees per session. Not so bad 😉
