Open Source Cloud Day

On Wednesday December 10 2014, I did a Openshift[1] presentation and workshops @ the Open Source Days event[2] organized by our Belgian partner Kangaroot[3] – Mechelen.

I would like to thank Bart Janssens from Kangaroot[3] for his excellent job before and during the workshop session.

Save the date and join us on November 17th at the Antwerp ZOO for the free Red Hat Technical User Group half-day seminar. This technical afternoon is an excellent opportunity to get the latest updates regarding technical topics and new releases. You can also discuss all your technical questions with Red Hat experts and your peers.

During the plenary presentation you will hear more about Red Hat’s involvement in OpenStack and our unique perspective on it. You will learn how to start using OpenStack and how it can be implemented successfully.

You also have the opportunity to attend break-out sessions discussing topics such as Data Virtualization, OpenShift and the release of Satellite 6. We will inform you of updates, new features and how to get the most out of these products. More detailed information about the agenda will follow shortly.

We will end the afternoon with networking drinks which gives you the opportunity to talk to other customers and Red Hat technical experts.

Don’t miss the Red Hat Technical User Group half-day seminar! The number of seats is limited so register today. Participation to this seminar is free.

Europe and Open Source

April 27, 2009

europe

Following OSSI, these are the first ten open source software hotspots countries :

  1. France
  2. Spain
  3. Germany
  4. Australia
  5. Finland
  6. United Kingdom
  7. Norway
  8. Estonia
  9. United States of America
  10. Denmark

Gosh, eight countries on ten are European one. Definitively, the places to live ! 😉

BTW, Beligum is #17.

Not so bad after all and “Vive la France !”

Here above pictures from our first Belgian OLPC Session with three Fedora fellows.
We were more than fifteen and we talk about OLPC of course but also about Kyoto protocol which was really interesting.
We had technical explanations and had the possibility to play with the laptop.
Thanks to Giulia, Martin and Sven.

The next session should be organized next Thursday evening. Everybody is welcome to join us.
BTW, it is free and you do not need to be a technical guru in order to participate. 🙂

Sorry but I do not have details yet.

Now, to those who say : it depends of the “Head count” ! I will respond : “No, it is up to you to take the risk or not !”
Understand who can ( Well, I do not know if this sentence is correct English expression. – In French : “Comprenne qui peut”-)
